8. Brandi Rhodes' Mental Health Battle

It was during the build to Fight For The Fallen 2019 that Brandi Rhodes' character was substantially fleshed out ahead of a proving ground clash with new arrival Allie.

Having presented herself as a heel authority figure at the company's inaugural Double Or Nothing pay-per-view, Rhodes softened the hard exterior in the weeks that followed. Her manipulation of Britt Baker, Kylie Rae and Nyla Rose in the build-up to a match she inserted Awesome Kong into was apparently just an insecure flex of her power. She was in fact haunted by sporting demons from her past, and approached the Allie encounter with the nervousness of somebody staring down the pressure of the big stage.

All until the match itself, when none of the above didn't matter. Kong was her heater, Brandi worked mostly heel in a fairly routine victory over her game opponent, and the whole thing turned out to exist mostly to set something else up that never went beyond one glorious moment...
