10 Superstars Who Could Be WWE's Next Top Heels
3. Finn Balor
Finn Balor's potentially monster babyface run was cut tragically short at last year's Summerslam, after a buckle bomb into the guard barrier put him on the shelf for over six months. While it's highly likely The Demon King will return as a fan favourite once again, it's even more likely that Balor will play a dastardly heel at some point during his time with WWE.
Although his natural charisma and real life reputation as a friendly, approachable fella' have seen Balor achieve huge success as a babyface, he actually cut his teeth as a heel while wrestling with the Bullet Club for New Japan Pro Wrestling. While it'd strange to see Finn returning to action as a heel after bowing out heroically with an injured shoulder (although that's almost exactly what happened to Seth Rollins last year), it seems like only a matter of time before the darker aspects of Balor's persona take over, especially with fellow 'Club' members Gallows and Anderson currently dominating the tag division.
A Balor heel turn might be something we wait months, or even years for, but when it does happen, it'll be an absolute blast to watch unfold.
