10 Superstars Who Deserved Better At WWE WrestleMania 34
8. Braun Stowman
The Monster Among Men was the breakout star of 2017 and a major piece in the Raw puzzle. His feud with Roman Reigns was one of the most unforgettable, as the path of destruction he caused featuring iconic moments involving ambulance flipping and savage attacks made him a legitimate main event attraction.
He battled Brock Lesnar in pay-per-view main events and enjoyed more than one championship opportunity in marquee bouts. Ahead of WrestleMania, he was rumored to be the backup plan to either Reigns or Lesnar if either could not compete at the event. From there, he was questionably booked in a tag team title match against The Bar.
When a mystery partner angle developed, the rumor mill ran wild. Fans guessed everyone from Elias to Rey Mysterio, wondering aloud who would join Strowman in his quest for Raw Tag Team Championship glory.
Then, in front of a worldwide audience, Strowman picked a 10-year-old kid out of the crowd to "battle" alongside him. Together, they won the gold, even if it was on the back of the big man. While it made for a cute moment that partner Nicholas will never forget, it diminished the overall badassery of Strowman and reduced him to a punchline.
