10 Things Kenny Omega Must Do In NJPW 2017
6. The ELITE Breaks Off From The Bullet Club
During Kenny Omega's run as leader of the Bullet Club, he has consistently distanced himself from the group while promoting his own sub-group with Nick and Matt Jackson, The ELITE. Having wrestled as a trio for a great deal of the year, the Young Bucks have also accompanied Kenny during many of his biggest matches, including the main event at the Tokyo Dome. Kenny stated part of his reason for seeking a return to NJPW was to continue working with the Bucks, making no mention of his Bullet Club brethren.
The writing may be on the wall for the long-running gaijin stable. When their leader wants little to do with them it likely means extinction is on cards. This could lead to an ousting of Kenny and The Young Bucks with a new leader taking charge - Adam Cole or Cody Rhodes perhaps. The ELITE, with their genuinely likeable antics in the ring and on their YouTube channel, have gained the affection of fans the world over, and they could transition nicely as a face group. They could also remain heel and superkick to death anyone who crosses their path, but they can do that without the Bullet Club moniker.
