10 Things Kenny Omega Must Do In NJPW 2017

Kenny Omega's 2016 was a year of firsts. He captured his first heavyweight strap by defeating Tanahashi, then went on to become the first foreign wrestler to win the G1 Climax tournament, riding his win to become the first gaijin to wrestle in the main event of a Wrestle Kingdom event (Brock Lesnar main-evented in the Tokyo Dome show the year prior to it being referred to as Wrestle Kingdom).

Together that represents a year in wrestling that anyone would envy, but having done so much in such a short space of time, Kenny has been looking to WWE to provide him with fresh challenges. It's unlikely to be as sweet for Kenny to chase these accolades again having just attained them, but if he wants to make his 2017 as stellar as 2016 he must start over with his quest to go on last at the Tokyo Dome. The list of opponents is considerable: a surging Shibata, a resilient Tanahashi, the New Ace Okada, or a date with destiny with a former friend.
