7. His World Champion Family Plans
This feels rather unique.
Magnum and his then-wife Tamara Howell (the couple were together between 1981-1988) planned to wait until Terry was NWA World Champion before starting a family. Nobody revealed why during 'Dark Side', but it wouldn't happen anyway due to his car accident in 1986.
There's a cool moment in the doc showing Magnum and Tamara at Cody Rhodes' baptism, but it's fleeting and seems to have been snuck in there so a current WWE star is involved. Later, Magnum got together with Tully Blanchard's ex-wife Courtney. That makes him Tessa Blanchard's stepfather.
VICE didn't really explore that at all either, but it is the closest Magnum would come to starting a family of his own. He and Tamara didn't want to have kids until he was in the championship hot seat, and it feels cruel that an accident robbed the couple of that right.
Magnum would never officially hold that title at all.
