Cena summed it up well when he said: “It’s Ettore’s world, and we’re all just living in it”. Of course, Ettore is ex-New Day man and former WWE Champion Big E. The retired star is still the record holder for biggest bench press at John’s personal gym. He managed to lift a whopping 575lbs, and the man made it look like a piece of cake.

You might’ve seen the clip of him pressing that weight before. Roman Reigns, his fellow members of New Day, Cena, Seth Rollins and others went crazy when he managed it. That's become a pretty famous piece of footage from the archives, and the lift lives on forever in John's gym. It's clear when watching this part of the show just how much weightlifting feats matter to JC.

He takes that stuff very seriously.

Overall, Cena is fourth on the bench press list behind Big E and some other guys called Murdoch, Reeves and Griffiths. Who knew that ex-tag teamer Trevor Murdoch could bench 505lbs anyway?! Only joking, it probably wasn't him. In fact, it almost certainly wasn't Trev. Non-wrestlers are free to use Cena's personal gym on his say so too, but they have to be as serious about working out as he is.

There's something sweet about E's name still being up on the wall. WWE fans remain hopeful that they'll get to see him avenge that heel turn by Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston in late-2024. That's up in the air, but it'd be amazing to see Big E have one last moment at least.
