Some probably still think that Jey Uso was one hell of a random pick to challenge Roman Reigns at Clash Of Champions. After all, Jey has never been presented as a top singles title threat, and it'd be easy to cry nepotism given he's Roman's cousin.

Reigns doesn't care.

The Universal Champ told Graves that Jey was picked for comfort, not blood. "Josh" (Uso's real name, which Roman used freely on the podcast) was the one who taught him how to wrestle in the first place. After so many months on the shelf, Reigns couldn't think of anybody better to help him get back into the groove of WWE life.

They've spent so many hours together talking about the basics of wrestling, psychology and every aspect of the business. Now, in 2020, Jey and Roman aim to have the match they've always pictured. Reigns didn't want anybody else as his first hurdle.
