10 Things WWE Fans Need To Know About Jay White

5. Bullet Club 4 Life

Jay White
NJPW

When Jay White turned his back on Kazuchika Okada and CHAOS in late 2018 and joined Bullet Club, he became the fourth official leader of the famous faction, following Prince Devitt, AJ Styles and Kenny Omega at the head of the table. Switchblade's career has gone from strength to strength ever since, with Tokyo Dome main events and championships-a-plenty strengthening his position.

But Jay White's relationship with Bullet Club didn't begin with Gedo smacking the Rainmaker in the back with a chair. In fact, Jay White's NJPW story has been influenced by Bullet Club at every single step, even those taken before he even stepped foot in the Dojo.

It was Prince Devitt who identified Jay's ability way back in early 2014. The future Demon was working a handful of independent shows in the south of England when he met the future Switchblade, giving the young New Zealander his card and broaching the idea of a stint in the New Japan Dojo. White was then contacted by Bad Luck Fale, and the rest is history.

Well, that history largely involved White being beaten up by Bullet Club for a few years, but eventually led to Switchblade taking over the group in 2018. Jay White can lay claim to being the only Bullet Club member that can accurately say he has been BC 4 Life, his wrestling life at least.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
