10 Things WWE Has Forgotten How To Do

9. The Idea That Less Is More

Looking at the match between Shane McMahon and The Undertaker from WrestleMania, there was a lot going on. Not only did the bout take place inside the infamous Hell In A Cell, but several stipulations also surrounded the equation.

Those diluted the core idea of Shane surviving a match against 'Taker.

If Shane had won, he would have been handed control of Monday Night Raw in storyline. Simultaneously, Undertaker would have been prevented from working a match at 'Mania again, but that wasn't the only stipulation.

Another called for Shane to be vanquished from television should he lose, which did transpire on the night.

Keep that in mind, because it comes back in another entry. For now, examining the fact that the Cell itself was a stipulation, there were no less than 4 on offer during a single WrestleMania bout.

That's overload. The philosophy of 'less is more' seemingly didn't come into WWE's thought process there.

Throwing everything but the proverbial kitchen sink at feuds is a slippery slope, things could certainly be more measured.
