10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Kane

8. Lighting Jim Ross on Fire

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i6tT_6kic9A This scene took place shortly after Kane lost his mask to Triple H in a Title versus Mask match on Raw. Jim Ross was sent to interview him at "WWE Studios" (no, not those WWE Studios) to get some answers as to why Kane was so angry all the time. Why anyone would even let the madman on the premises is a mystery. Steve Austin was one of the GM's on Raw at the time (along with Eric Bischoff), so he tried to calm Kane down from inside the ring. Kane told them nobody could help him and that JR needed to feel his pain. Yeah, because being made to kiss Vince McMahon's backside in front of his family and friends in Oklahoma wasn't painful enough. Kane poured gasoline on JR, ignored cries for him to stop, lit a match and threw it onto a defenceless Ross. "Good Gold almighty, he's burning his ass!" Okay, so that wasn't the actual call, but that was the idea behind it. The segment didn't so much put more heat (pardon the pun) on Kane but rather highlighted just how ridiculous the whole thing was. Kane should have been beating up top stars, not setting commentators on fire.
