10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Carmella

There was nothing especially F.A.B.U.L.O.U.S about Paul Van Dale's WWE career.

According to old wrestling databases, Paul Van Dale last worked for the company on a 1995 episode of Superstars. There, he teamed with Tim McNeany as Paul McDale in a losing effort against mountain men The Blu Brothers. He'd worked as enhancement talent since the late-80s.

This is not something WWE mention, and they never have done throughout Carmella's entire run. Since joining the promotion in 2013, she's been cast as someone without wrestling lineage. That's not strictly true, though it is understandable that WWE don't want to admit daddy dearest was a boots n' tights journeyman.

Paul has appeared on Total Divas in the past, but he's never been a part of his daughter's WWE run on NXT or SmackDown. Dig a little deeper into some media interviews with Carmella and you'll find a few references to how she'd watch wrestling with him growing up.
