P*ss to the face!

That was poor Shamus' fate on the 12 June 2020 edition of SmackDown. The Irishman brought out some extra dressed as a doctor and proceeded to repeat CM Punk promos from 2009 on Hardy's personal demons. Then, Jeff came out and tossed working urine in his face.

Not shoot urine - working urine. Hopefully. Knowing Vince McMahon's proclivities for playing practical jokes, maybe not. No, it was. Sheamus took some fake pee pee to the chops, and it was one of the worst skits of the entire year. WWE went from treating Jeff's personal problems as a serious issue to...chucking pints of p*ss.

This ill-needed comedy twist did nothing for Jeff as a babyface, and it also turned the rivalry into a comedy sideshow. Hardy and Sheamus had no chance after that. Creative were rightly slated for going the "ha ha" route with such a sensitive topic.
