10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Roman Reigns

4. “Blood Brothers” (But Not Actual Cousins)

WWE will often refer to The Rock and Roman Reigns as cousins, but that’s not strictly true.

The Anoa’i and Maivia families were close, but the pair aren’t actually blood relatives. Whisper that quietly though, because it’ll surely come up again when they finally wrestle one-on-one. In fact, Rocky returning to shoot down his family will be the crux of WWE's story; if not the only big story beat.

That's fine, because the feud would/will surely soar if/when it eventually happens, but it'd be a lie to suggest The Rock and Roman are actually what WWE claims they are. It's one of those, 'I consider him my family' deals. Cool, but again...something creative will want folks to forget about.

The Rock has long been considered an "end boss" for The Bloodline narrative, so WWE might have to push through family ties regardless of fans knowing the truth. Facts won't get in the way of a good story on this occasion!
