Shortly after departing TNA in May, 2013, Doug Williams appeared on WrestleTalk TV to grant an interview about his time with the company. Refreshingly honest, the Brit didn't put the blame all at the feet of management, instead preferring to focus on things they should have been doing to help the company grow on a wider scale.

One thing Williams is especially passionate about is the idea that young talent must be nurtured in wrestling. That's exactly why he was called upon to train youngsters at Ohio Valley Wrestling, at one time a developmental organisation for TNA. This would prove to be his last role with the promotion.

Right before departing TNA, Williams also spoke with The Jitty. During that interview, he said he enjoyed training the starts of tomorrow, even if it could be a frustrating experience. That makes sense, especially considering the natural talent someone like Doug possesses.

Interestingly, whilst on WrestleTalk TV, Williams spoke about the WWE Performance Center (which had yet to be opened). He said he felt that was the way forward, giving fledgling stars every chance of becoming well-rounded performers.
