4. It Took Reigns Five Tries To Become WWE World Heavyweight Champion

The booking of Roman Reigns since The Shield split apart has turned off fans - not just from supporting "The Guy," but from enjoying WWE's product altogether. Many feel that Roman is made to look strong at the expense of more interesting characters, and this "Super-Roman" portrayal is frustrating and unentertaining.

While it's true that Reigns has been protected, a surprising fact is that the star actually failed to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on his first four attempts. At Money in the Bank 2014, Reigns was part of an eight-man ladder match for the vacant title, but it was ultimately John Cena who retrieved the championship. The following month, Cena defended the title at Battleground in a Fatal Four-Way match against Reigns, Randy Orton, and Kane, pinning Kane to retain the belt.

That was it for Reigns until WrestleMania 31, where he was famously defeated by Seth Rollins in an impromptu triple threat match. At Payback in May of 2015, Rollins defended the title in a four-way with Reigns, Orton, and Dean Ambrose. Rollins pinned Orton to retain. It was only in his fifth title match - at Survivor Series 2015 - that Reigns would finally claim gold, only to lose it minutes later.
