6. His Feud With Seth Rollins Has Gone Even Longer Than 2 Years

Dean and Seth look to be inextricably linked together, in much the same way as Triple H and Shawn Michaels before them. Their recurring feud will not only cement their respective legacies, but will also safeguard their futures. WWE can always go back to that well in times of creative crisis because the next chapter will always write itself, as a result of the rich history they have shared - even before Survivor Series 2012.

Prior to Seth either selling out or buying in - and before they even made up two parts of The Shield - Ambrose and Rollins contested a fabulous feud for the FCW '15' championship. This, incidentally is one of the few facets of NXT's forebear we'd like to see again in some form. Typically contested in fifteen minute iron man matches, the title (represented by a medal) was a unique concept with a reliable, in-built dramatic crux. The last five minutes of almost every match were pulsating, with the time limit draw in near sight.

Rollins and Ambrose almost single-handedly made FCW worth watching in those dark days before WWE finally gave in and stopped trying to impose their will on fans and talents alike.
