'Mean' Gene Okerlund will forever be regarded by older fans as the best backstage interviewer in wrestling history. His poise, unflagging professionalism and distinctive voice made him the greatest for sure, but it's interesting to watch one Sean Mooney match him during Raw's bow. Don't remember Mooney? You should.

Coming across like a serious news anchor who just so happened to be thrust into the most bizarre world imaginable, Mooney effortlessly played it straight as Bobby Heenan dressed up as an old woman and attempted to invade the building. Keeping the same bemused expression throughout his segments, the under-rated announcer showed his class in '93.

Contrast him with current backstage interviewers like Charly Caruso and Dasha Fuentes. Go on, just try it. Those women look like emotionless mannequins next to Mooney. He reacted with natural flair and somehow remained impartial to the madness surrounding him.

Watch and learn.
