10 Things You Totally Forgot About Chris Jericho

5. He's Jobbed Out JTG, Heath Slater And Zack Ryder

As previously noted, Chris Jericho is one of the most selfless superstars in the history of WWE, having lost to more up-and-comers than he'd probably like to admit. Fandango upsetting the inaugural Undisputed champion at WrestleMania 29, but there are many more losses he's endured over the years that don't get the same attention.

Perhaps the most egregious example would have been when Jericho was beaten by JTG one-on-one on the August 7, 2009 edition of SmackDown. It was obviously done to establish Cryme Tyme as credible contenders to the Unified Tag Team Championship, but it seems unnecessary in retrospect.

Then there was Heath Slater, who pinned Jericho while still a rookie on NXT Season 1 in April 2010. It was an odd call considering Slater was booted from the competition soon after, though he repeated the feat by eliminating Jericho from the Team Nexus vs. Team WWE main event at SummerSlam 2010.

Finally, Jericho lost to Zack Ryder following a distraction from AJ Styles on the March 28, 2016 edition of Raw. At least in that case, Ryder went on to win the Intercontinental Championship in shocking fashion six days later at WrestleMania 32.

Does that mean all of these men are eventually owed a shot at Jericho's AEW World Championship?
