10 Times WWE Fans Forced A Face Turn

6. CM Punk

Technically, CM Punk turned bad after cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase to break the hearts of Jeff Hardy fans in 2009 - and never, in the next five years, went good again.

But since when does technically really matter in wrestling? The fact is that WWE gave us the truth-speaking, pipebomb-dropping CM Punk we wanted to see in the summer of 2011. Clearly some people - and if you're reading this, chances are that includes you - were supposed to like him.

Was this forced by the fans or by CM Punk himself? You imagine that a man as strident as the Straight Edge Superstar would have been forceful in getting his ideas across during creative meetings - so perhaps he deserves a little credit.

But, by the same token, he would not have felt emboldened enough to pitch such a radical idea were he not being cheered by the fans. And, for what, we all deserve credit as well.

OK, squared circle jerk over.
