10 Times WWE Immediately Broke Its Own Rules

8. Becoming The "Babyface Company"

WWE reunited Charlotte and Andrade because they realised the unnecessary cruelty of the split, and decided to let young love flourish.

Nah that's b*llocks, it was all PR!

With the formation of All Elite Wrestling promising a utopia to fans and talent alike, WWE realised that it probably wasn't a good look to just be absolutely awful: after all, the billionaire offering creative freedom and competitive pay may then convince the dejected and heartbroken to work just one night per week. There and then, WWE implemented a new internal policy, to not separate couples between brands, in order to become a babyface company in the eyes of the locker room and the public.

WWE then immediately, publicly humiliated two members of the locker room in an IRL heel move.

"Facepalm? More like anus balm." - Ember Moon.

The Revival handed in their release requests to work for said billionaire, and they were punished onscreen for it. This punishment manifested as a "gag" in which Dash Wilder shaved Scott Dawson's back in the shower, the implication being that they were, at least, engaging in "effeminate" behaviour. That's what women do! Or: that's what gays do!

Moreover, the Usos laced their trunks with 'Ucey Hot', which made Dawson scram across the ring canvas as if his anus were infested with threadworms. His performance was gung-ho, to his credit. Perhaps that's what being booked by Vince actually feels like, and so it wasn't a reach.
