10 Times WWE Logic Led To F***ing Stupid Moments

8. Vince McMahon Not Thinking Tag Teams Draw Money Results In AEW Getting FTR

Back in 2019, in one last attempt to convince Vince McMahon to finally embrace a tag division that was crying out for some attention, the then-Revival told WWE they wouldn't be re-signing unless the tag team division was given a long overdue push on the main roster.

However, McMahon clearly didn't see doubles competition as a draw and still wasn't willing to showcase any units as real main attractions in the months that followed. So, this gave Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler no choice but to wait out their deals until they expired in June 2020, with WWE eventually deciding to grant them their releases in April of that year.

And just like that, these 'Top Guy's were out, heading over to Tony Khan's All Elite promotion and ultimately cementing themselves as two of the greatest tag workers of their generation.

Just three years on, though, the penny appeared to finally drop for WWE, with The Usos and Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens proving exactly how much money a compelling tag team story could draw in the main event of WrestleMania 39 Night One.

Had WWE realised this a few years earlier, then there's a good chance the best tag unit on the planet would still be kicking ass on Raw & SmackDown today.
