10 Times You Didn't Realise Wrestlers Were Saying 'Goodbye'

1. Randy Savage

It'd be interesting to find out exactly how many people saw this handshake and fist bump between former Mega-Powers pals Randy Savage and Hulk Hogan on the 3 May 2000 episode of Thunder. WCW's ratings were in the toilet by the time that aired, so it wouldn't be surprising if hardly anyone remembers this at all.

Savage ran in on a battle royal and joined The Millionaire's Club in their ongoing fight against the heel New Blood. The show went off-air with a show of respect between Randy and Hulk, but WCW weren't able to follow up on things properly. This was 'Macho Man's' last major appearance for the company.

He'd work one match for TNA in 2004, but there was nothing on WWE's side until Randy's death in 2011 softened whatever heat existed with the McMahons. That's a real shame, because the wrestling fanbase craved one more WWE run and a surefire Hall Of Fame induction shortly after WCW closed doors.

They didn't get it. This was Savage's farewell from the big leagues.
