2. Chael Sonnen
A current UFC star, who will in fact main event their next pay per view on November 16th 2013. Sonnen (above, right) is a great fighter, but perhaps more famous for his after match promos and prefight antics. Sonnen is a big pro wrestling fan, and a good friend of CM Punk. You can tell he is a student of old school pro wrasslin, he cuts promos from the era in perfect pitch and tone, stealing lines from Dusty Rhodes and Superstar Billy Graham to talk up his toughness. His antics as a heel MMA fighter are also legendary. Sonnen knows what sells pay per views - feuds. He drew a ton of money with Anderson Silva by making their feud personal, cutting promos on Silva's wife and home country. It would have all been fitting in pro wrestling, and Vince McMahon must be aware that Sonnen drew a ton of PPV buys by cutting pro wrestling style promos. He could transition into WWE with ease and do the same. The truth is that Sonnen's delivery of pro wrestling promos is better than anybody in WWE right now. Just imagine the verbal jousts Sonnen could have with Punk, and with his wrestling ability just imagine the Kurt Angle style ring work he could perhaps produce. It could perhaps one day happen, Sonnen has the links in the WWE, the ability and will, and he must know his UFC career has peaked after failing to win the title in any of his title shots.
