10 UFC Fights That Could Soon Break Records
5. Cris Cyborg Vs. Amanda Nunes
Amanda Nunes and Cris Cyborg were on an inevitable collision course from the moment the latter finally made her UFC debut in May 2016.
Cyborg had obliterated the competition in Strikeforce and Invicta, while Nunes had established herself as the top woman in the UFC by knocking off the likes of Ronda Rousey, Miesha Tate and Valentina Shevchenko.
The pair eventually fought for the honour of becoming the inaugural UFC Women's Featherweight Champion. Nunes took 51 seconds to spark out Cyborg.
Despite the convincing nature of Nunes' victory, Cyborg still felt aggrieved by the loss and walked out on the company a year later, citing ill-treatment from Dana White and the UFC as a whole.
Cyborg would then pop up in Bellator and quickly became the Bellator Women's Featherweight Champion, re-affirming herself as one of the top fighters on the planet.
With the pair now reigning as Featherweight champs in their respective promotions, surely a cross-promotional war between the bitter rivals needs to become a reality.
In terms of financials, this fight would definitely move the needle - if Bellator and UFC can come to some kind of agreement. But, what record could it potentially break?
Well, as things stand, the highest number of PPV buys for a UFC event topped by a women's fight sits at 1,100,000 for Nunes vs. Rousey at UFC 207. If any fight were to overtake that super-showdown, surely 'Nunes Vs. Cyborg II: Undisputed Featherweight Badass' stands the best chance of doing so, right?
