10 Ups & 2 Downs From Impact Wrestling Rebellion 2020 (Part 1)

3. OVE Is OVE-R

In one of the most genuinely shocking Impact Wrestling moments for quite some time, Sami Callihan turned his back on his oVe brethren, assaulting Madman Fulton and the Crist brothers with his baseball bat during the evening's main event. While he's always been a singles star for the duration of his time in Impact, this will mark the first time 'The Draw' has been a straight-up singles performer without the threat of any backup interfering during his matches.

Given Callihan's newly-debuted character of a hacker, there has never been a better time to split him away from the rest of the pack. He never necessarily needed them in his corner because he could always get the job done on his own anyway. However, there's no reason as to why someone who's able to hack into a television show's broadcast feed would require a group of lackeys to follow him around.

Now, Madman, Dave, and Jake can focus on their own tasks, regardless of whether or not they remain a trio themselves. If you recall back to post-Bound For Glory times, Ken Shamrock stated that Madman Fulton could easily become a huge name in his own right, so long as he stepped out of Callihan's shadow. Perhaps now is the time for that theory to become a reality.
