10 Ups & 2 Downs From Impact Wrestling Rebellion 2020 (Part 1)

2. Unsanctioned War

We've already spoken about certain aspects of the match; now it's time to take a look at the match as a whole. Ken Shamrock and Sami Callihan was always going to be a barbaric fight, no matter the environment it took place in. When you put 'The World's Most Dangerous Man' in one corner, and 'The Draw' in the other, that's just what to expect.

In a fight that spilled all over the stage, backstage, and even outside the venue, Shamrock and Callihan knocked lumps out of each other, using very few weapons, which was rather surprising. A trash can, a steel chair, and a handful of mist are all that was used, although Sami did also use his trademark baseball bat to inflict some pain on his now-former allies. Once the match went outside, that's when things took a serious turn, as Ken used the surroundings to smash Callihan against, finishing him off with an Ankle Lock in the parking lot.

It's worth mentioning a further two gripes with this match - a) Callihan not using any of the hacking we've seen from him in recent weeks, and b) the pair simply stop fighting as they agreed to finish things outside the building. At the very least, they could have continued brawling out the doors. Aside from that, the match/fight, whatever you want to call it was brilliant. Ken Shamrock can clearly still go when the time calls for it, and Sami Callihan will forever be an unpredictable human being.

Had it not been for the major Down affecting things, this no doubt would have been the biggest highlight of the evening.
