Kenny Omega
AEW

AEW rapidly accelerated towards next week's Full Gear pay-per-view with a loaded episode of Dynamite last night, putting most of the last major pieces in place ahead of the 7 November event, with the likes of Chris Jericho, MJF, and Hikaru Shida all learning their fates.

While this week's episode didn't come with anything as showy as Le Dinner Debonair, Kenny Omega vs. Penta El Zero M, Orange Cassidy vs. Cody, and Wardlow vs. Hangman Page all but guaranteed an excellent in-ring evening. Elsewhere, the appeal of Chris Jericho and MJF's Town Hall Debate likely depended on your enjoyment of the big musical number, though the tone was entirely different this time around.

This episode was beset with injury problems. Hurt last week, Rey Fenix was forced to pull out of the World Title Eliminator tournament, with his brother, Penta, replacing him against Omega. On top of this, Abadon suffered a reported serious injury while working Tay Conti, leading to their bout being scrapped outright. We wish both all the best in their recovery.

The Full Gear build hasn't been without flaws, and neither was this episode. Let's light the fuse...
