10 Ups & 7 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Dec 11)

6. Nightmare Collective Corniness

An overly-corny Brandi Rhodes promo saw her ask the question of what AEW would look like without her.

Echoing many an internet comments section, she called it a gymnastics contest, criticising Women's Champion Riho for her size. Britt Baker got called a "pathetic groupie," Leva Bates and Kris Statlander took a couple of digs themselves, before Brandi wandered around the room, rubbing the bald head of a new Nightmare Collective member that looked suspiciously like Billy Corgan.

The execution wasn't dreadful, but the content was guff. Baker is flawed, yes, but Rhodes referring to someone who is objectively far more accomplished between the ropes as a "pathetic groupie" doesn't sit right, particularly as Brandi had previously paraded Britt as a potential ace. Cornette-isms like those thrown at Riho don't help put the division over, either.

This act needs something new. Fast.
