10 Venues That Should Host A Future WrestleMania

4. Edward Jones Dome (St. Louis, Missouri)

Opened: 1995 Capacity: 66,000 (record of 104,000 in 1999 when Pope John Paul II held mass) St. Louis is another city rich in wrestling tradition, from people like Lou Thesz, Pat O'Connor, Gene Kiniski and Harley Race competing for the NWA Heavyweight Title in the city all the way to the current day, where Randy Orton proudly calls a St. Louis suburb his home. It's almost a bit surprising that WrestleMania has never been there, especially with the Edward Jones Dome capable of hosting huge events. There is a catch here, though, and it's one that could prevent the Dome from ever hosting an event like Mania. The city of St. Louis is in discussions to build a brand new riverfront stadium for the NFL's Rams in an attempt to keep the team from leaving town. If a brand new, state-of-the-art, billion-dollar stadium will be coming to St. Louis at any point soon, there isn't much reason to have WrestleMania in an "old" venue like the Dome. The potential for a very big crowd in a Dome should make for an attractive host venue in the future, provided the city's new stadium doesn't get built.
