Possibly the quickest way for Orton to get over as a babyface is to get the rub from one of the hottest faces in the company. There's a lot of similiarities between good-guy Orton and Dean Ambrose, and a united front between the two could be beneficial for both superstars. Dean Ambrose is one of the most interesting characters in WWE in a long time, and a lot of it comes from how real and relatable he comes across. While Randy Orton is very good at a lot of things, he's never been a character the crowd can relate to and some time with Ambrose could allievate that. Conversely, as a twelve year veteran, Orton can help Ambrose adapt to life as a main event WWE star. It's win-win-win for everyone (the third win is the audience). While a traditional tag-team may not be right for loners like Orton and Ambrose, an alliance could be big bucks. Rated RKO is still fondly remembered by many fans. Orton and Ambrose as a team of no-nonsense anti-authoritarians who trust each other only slightly more than they trust everyone else could be compelling television.
