8. Raw General Manager

Raw General Manager Mick Foley might not be around much longer. The former Mankind was subject to a curtailed performance review on last week’s show, and recently revealed that he needs a hip replacement. His surgery’s going to happen sooner or later, and with Foley stating that his WWE contract operates on a “week to week” basis, he might disappear from television at the drop of a hat.

WWE are obviously going to need to fill this role, and Angle would prove an excellent candidate, particularly if WWE don’t want to use him in the ring. Having already served as SmackDown’s GM in 2004 and as an on-air authority figure in TNA, Angle brings prior experience to the table, and he’d surely bring a firmer managerial style than the subservient Foley.

His kayfabe relationship with Stephanie McMahon would make for some interesting viewing, too. 2000 saw Kurt engage in a brief love triangle story with Stephanie and Triple H, culminating in a loss to The Game at Unforgiven. The last thing WWE need is another torturous authority figure vs. authority figure storyline, but their interactions would surely be more entertaining than Steph and Foley’s, which only serve to bog Raw down at this point.
