10 Ways To Make WWE's Brand Split 2016 A Success

9. No Added Minor Titles

If the previous brand extension is anything to go by, WWE may introduce a new set of championships to be defended on either Raw or SmackDown: additional tag team titles and another women's championship.

Having unified the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, Tag Team Championship and the now-Women's Championship in the last five years, it would be ridiculous for WWE to introduce new titles for the new brands. There are too many championships as it is.

The previous saturation of championships did little to add prestige to WWE titles, essentially making them a dime a dozen. The flippant changing of minor championships during the previous brand split even managed to lessen the value of both the WWE Championship and World Heavyweight Championship.

The lesson? Don't add more minor titles that will get lost in the shuffle.

The company must avoid the temptation to introduce new championships to be defended on each show. Alternatively, WWE can go down a different path that it will benefit from in the long run...
