10 WCW Storylines That Were Totally Abandoned
6. The Giant Falls To His Death
Despite winning the WCW World Heavyweight Championship in
his very first match, it is probably best to develop a little bit of amnesia
when it comes to Big Show and his start in WCW. The dumbest moment in a sea of
dumb came at Halloween Havoc 1995, a show that was to feature Show (then known
as The Giant) taking on Hulk Hogan in the main event.
Of course, they had a monster truck duel first, because that is how professional wrestlers resolve their differences. Hogan won the duel, causing Giant to get a bit miffed and leave his truck to beat the tar out of the Hulkster.
This didn’t work out too well for Giant, as Hogan was able to weaken him enough for him to fall off the roof. Of the arena. He fell off the roof of the arena. Logic seemed to be working initially, as Hogan came out and didn’t exactly seem too optimistic about the health of The Giant.
It turns out there was no reason for him to worry, as Giant came right out without so much as a hair out of place. The audience was told to tune in to Nitro to find out how he survived. We were never told.
