10 Wild Confessions From Huge Wrestling Stars
4. Bryan Danielson Lies About Concussion History
Bryan Danielson is a self-effacing chap who, by the standards of pro wrestling anyway, is probably too honest for his own good.
He freely admitted when in the WWE system to lacking ambition, which wasn't ideal. You have to be willing to eat, sleep, breathe, and f*ckin' sh*t "the" WWE to get ahead in WWE. You also have to not give a single sh*t about it, if you're Brock Lesnar or Goldberg. The line changes sometimes. In WWE, it's one of the few things that does.
Danielson is unflinchingly honest; when asked by the Gorilla Position podcast in 2018 if he could see his programme with The Miz lasting until WrestleMania 35, he laughed in their face. He was right to do it; by the time the event rolled around, Miz was a face and Bryan was a heel.
Danielson however is a professional wrestler. Lying is in his DNA. He admits to lying to WWE about his history of concussions (!) before signing with the company, which he attributes to WWE's fear of clearing him in the wilderness years between 2016 and 2018.
