10 Wild Predictions For What Triple H's WWE Will Look Like In 5 Years
6. Billy Gunn Is Back In The Fold
Who could have imagined that - as early as 2019 - some of the loudest shots fired across the wrestling war would be as result of Billy Gunn?
The former New Age Outlaw was stood mid-ring with the rest of D-Generation X when, in 2019, Triple H referred to All Elite Wrestling as a "p*ssant company" while still high on his own supply following an incredible TakeOver: New York in the same building one night prior. Three years later, when that p*ssant company had well and truly crushed 'The Game's pet project, Gunn was there yet again as The Acclaimed joked about him missing a DX reunion on Raw two weeks earlier.
This can't and probably won't continue. Gunn's yet again fallen on good times in AEW, but there's every chance Triple H gets the band back together for his next nostalgia trip. The only things that are real in wrestling are the money and the miles, but Hunter traveled enough of the latter with Gunn back then to keep him sweet with plenty of the former now. Not least because it will appear as yet another "W" over the new opposition.
