10 Worst Booked Wrestlers Of 2017

5. Becky Lynch

Becky Lynch Annoyed
WWE

The separation of Raw and SmackDown looked to establish Becky Lynch as the blue brand's undisputed women's ace last summer, but it hasn't worked out. She was the show's first champion, but has since experienced a remarkable slide down the pecking order with WWE opting to push bland, unseasoned performers like Naomi and Carmella in her place, slotting Becky into the supporting cast.

Lynch is one of the best women in the company. A silky smooth in-ring technician, she brings bags of charm to the table, and plays an excellent underdog babyface at a time when such roles feel like a dying art. She's incredibly popular, too, yet WWE have continually failed to maximise her throughout 2017. Becky won just one singles match from March to July, and while a turnaround looked to be on the horizon when WWE positioned her as SmackDown's Survivor Series captain, the 'Lass Kicker' was eliminated in just two minutes.

The company must make better use of Becky in 2018, though this will require a shift away from the faceless multi-person feuds that have become her division's identity throughout the current year.
