10 Worst Booked Wrestlers Of 2017

4. Harper

It's absolutely mystifying that WWE weren't able to make more Harper of 2017. He's one of the biggest men on the roster at 6'7", 264lbs, and compliments his giant frame with a broad skill-set carried by a shockingly high level of athleticism. Moreover, he was regularly drawing some of SmackDown's biggest cheers after splitting from Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton, and there was even speculation that WWE would use this momentum to add him to the aforementioned duo's WWE Championship match at WrestleMania.

The push never materialised. Harper was shunted out of the spotlight soon after wrestling Orton to 'The Viper's' best singles match of 2017 at Elimination Chamber, and completely disappeared through spring and summer. One brief feud with Erick Rowan aside, WWE just weren't using him at all, and he went from July to November without working a single televised match.

Harper and Rowan were repackaged as The Bludgeon Brothers in October, but only re-debuted a fortnight ago. The next four weeks could close Harper's year on a high, but it won't be enough to alter his status as one of WWE's worst booked wrestlers throughout 2017.
