When WWE revealed that their June, 2010 supershow would be called Fatal 4-Way, a lot of fans giggled at the prospect of future events being labelled, 'WWE Singles Match', or 'WWE Tag-Team'. The Fatal 4-Way bout is again pretty straightforward, four wrestlers compete, and the first pinfall or submission ends the match. It's simple, but maybe a little too much, and the Pay-Per-View felt more than a little tame. The main event, pitting Sheamus against Randy Orton, John Cena and Wade Barrett, was a fun match, but didn't really feel like anything special. Fatal 4-Way matches take place all the time in wrestling, and throwing in another similar match, pitting Jack Swagger against The Big Show, CM Punk and Rey Mysterio, only diluted things further. Fans viewed the event as pretty throwaway, and even a little boring. Even the WWE Divas Title got in on the act, but typically the women of the company were only given a little over five minutes to strut their stuff, which made the tacked-on Fatal 4-Way gimmick feel a little cheap.
