10 Worst WWE Championship Matches In WrestleMania History

2. Hulk Hogan Vs. Yokozuna (WrestleMania IX)

I can already hear people go "oh, this shouldn't count, this wasn't even a match." No, nuts to you. A bell was rung, there were moves, there was a pin, the bell rung again, and a belt changed hands. This was, for all intents and purposes, the main event of WrestleMania IX for the WWE Championship, and guess what? It's absolute b*llocks.

On the off-chance you don't know the story, I'll be brief: at WrestleMania IX, Bret Hart defended the WWE Championship against the massive Yokozuna. After a rather brief match (cut short due to Yoko's fatigue), Bret lost the title after interference from the sinister Mr. Fuji. Outraged by this, Hulk Hogan emerged from backstage to comfort his bosom buddy Bret. For reasons known to nobody, Mr. Fuji challenged Hogan to a match against Yoko right then and there. Hogan accepted, and before Bret Hart had stumbled to the back, Hogan hit the big boot and leg drop on Yokozuna to win his 5th WWE title in 22 seconds.

History has shown this entire farce to be the transparent politicking of Grandpa Terry, and it's a ripe load of s**te.
