Dusty Rhodes. Scott Hall. Owen Hart. Curt Hennig. Roddy Piper.

These are just a handful of the legendary names to have never won the WWE Championship

But they gave it to Jinder Mahal.

Nobody in a million years would have predicted that this jobber supreme would ever become the most important man in the company, but when WWE decided they wanted to expand into India, he was chosen as their standard bearer.

For 170 days, Mahal put on boring match after boring match, beating everyone's favourites while looking totally lost the entire time. He gave Shinsuke Nakamura his first pinfall loss on the main roster, for crying out loud!

When AJ Styles pinned Mahal on SmackDown in Manchester, England, everyone let out a collective sigh of relief. This isn't just the worst title reign of the 2010s - it might be the worst ever.
