10 Worst WWE Feuds Of 2016

7. The New Day Vs. The League Of Nations

The League of Nations was a complete disaster from start to finish. Two of the group’s four members (Alberto Del Rio and Wade Barrett) are no longer with the company, while Rusev and Sheamus are only now showing signs of recovery after a long spell in the doldrums. Nothing about this ill-conceived group of international grapplers worked, particularly their feud with The New Day.

Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, and Big E started mocking the League at Fastlane. Referring to them as “The League of Booty,” they’d constantly throw jabs at the group over the coming weeks, even while technically feuding with other teams. Roadblock saw Barrett and Sheamus challenge for the tag team titles, but they were ultimately unsuccessful.

The feud didn’t end there, however, and all four League of Nations members beat The New Day down on Raw. The League defeated The New Day at WrestleMania before being promptly flattened by Mick Foley, Steve Austin, and Shawn Michaels, then losing another tag title match the next night on Raw. Punctuated by awful comedy, dire matches, and plodding 50/50 booking, this rivalry was as much fun as brushing your teeth with cyanide. At least it spelled the end for The League, however: they split-up three weeks later.
