Bayley remains one of Raw’s most popular characters, but WWE have bungled almost everything about her main roster run. She made an outstanding debut at Battleground, but she was quickly thrown into a title-chasing storyline completely ill-suited to her underdog character, and she was thoroughly outclassed by Charlotte and Sasha Banks in the matches that followed.

Her title hunt over with, Bayley took to going 50/50 in counterproductive matches with local talent, before sliding into a feud with Dana Brooke. It almost made sense on paper: Brooke was serving as Charlotte’s sidekick at the time, and the Women’s Champion will likely prove to be Bayley’s biggest long-term rival. Unfortunately, the execution was horrendous, and Bayley emerged from the feud even weaker before.

“Highlighted” by an atrocious arm wrestling match on Monday Night Raw, this storyline accomplished the miraculous achievement of compelling the fans to chant “boring” during a Bayley segment. Add Dana’s greenness, lack of experience, and in-ring clumsiness into the equation, and you have one of the year’s worst feuds on your hands. Bayley was never able to carry her opponent to a credible match, and though she won, clashing with Dana did nothing to enhance the former NXT Women's Champion’s position.
