WWE used to be good at celebrity matches. You could add virtually any object to that sentence.

Hell, you could remove the object outright.

Tyson Fury Vs. Braun Strowman was a terrible celebrity match because it wasn't a celebrity match. It was an horrendous wrestling match that involved a celebrity. WWE opted for the laziest and most counterproductive route possible at Crown Jewel by structuring the match to expose and not obscure Fury's limitations. Fury didn't even pile into Strowman with lunging fists like he was his freshly-shagged sister, or a Zionist Jew: he simply threw those famous hands into a collar-and-elbow tie-up. This was possible germane to the story, in fairness - Fury declared in the build that he was ready to enter "Braun's world" - but what a sh*tty story, one that could only result in a very poor emulation of a pro wrestling match.

Some boxing did happen, but then it didn't. Strowman started it, too, and then promptly let down his guard, allowing the Lineal Champ to...grab a headlock. He could, and should, have smashed his face in - the hint of boxing revealed a gaping plot hole - but he didn't. He performed some awful Russian leg sweeps and kip-ups.

He at least knew to evade Strowman's charge to the corner, but even Helen Keller knows how to do that. He should probably drop that spot.
