10 Worst WWE Matches Of 2019

9. Seth Rollins Vs. Baron Corbin - Stomping Gounds

The big mystery ahead of Stomping Grounds - 'Why is this show failing to sell tickets?' was easily deduced - centred around who the Special Guest Referee might be.

Turns out it was Lacey Evans, which led to a dire sequel to Over The Edge 1998's masterclass in chicanery. The story was as follows: Seth was the better man throughout, but that blasted Lacey just wouldn't count the pin! Which dastardly, evil authority figure enabled such a scheme? There weren't any. Baron Corbin must have held this sort of matchmaking power, even though he was...stripped of all power...and blamed for shoddy ratings...just months prior.

Get out of that plot hole? Ya can't. Sorry, little guy.

At one point, several minutes after the ruse became apparent - as if Lacey Evans was ever going to officiate on the level - Rollins prematurely celebrated as he struck the Falcon Arrow combo. He looked even more of a t*t than he does on Twitter.

This was totally bereft of drama because nobody was aghast at Lacey's refusal to count the pin that everybody saw coming, and action, because Corbin hadn't yet decided to up and do some sh*t in the King Of The Ring.

Redesign, rebuild, reclaim?

Overbooked, over-thought, under-heated.
