10 Worst WWE Matches Of 2019

3. The Undertaker Vs. Goldberg - Super ShowDown

The match was controversial upon its announcement.

Some were willing to ignore the toxic cloud that hovers over every Saudi Arabia show. Lighten up, Francis! It's two legends you never thought you'd see share a ring again! WWE can book this sort of thing very well. Enjoy the spectacle!

Others expressed concern. Was it really a good idea to pair a man who is more or less an actual zombie, and a wrestler with a penchant for concussing himself before he even steps foot in the ring?

It was not a good idea.

The opening video package promised a clash between two unstoppable forces. They delivered a match between two immovable objects; 'Taker can't work a singles match without gassing in minutes, and Goldberg, in the time-honoured tradition, knocked himself loopy by headbutting a locker before the bell. You're not meant to ring the bell yourself, Bill! There's a timekeeper for that!

It started off hot. The opening stare-down was powerful stuff, but Goldberg took the throat-slit taunt that bit too seriously by dropping 'Taker right on his head with the Jackhammer after spearing himself into the ring post. It devolved into a sad spectacle of sucked air, sucky execution, and sandbagging.

A literal Lights Out match, Michael Cole said "There's no way! There's no way!" when Goldberg hoisted 'Taker up for the Jackhammer.

Here...comes...the broken clock! It's broken clock time!
