10 Worst WWE Moments Of 2003

1. Eric Bischoff Forces Himself On Linda McMahon

Think about this for a second: Vince McMahon scripted his old enemy Eric Bischoff to get intimate with both his wife and daughter on camera in several ill-advised and really quite unfortunate pre-taped skits. According to Bischoff on his '83 Weeks' podcast, Vince wanted the one with Linda "to look very forceful". His hope? That fans would be irate at Eric and pay to see Shane McMahon beat him up at SummerSlam that Sunday.

On the 18 August 2003 Raw, Linda was shown speaking remotely on camera to Jim Ross. She was at home, and the scene was interrupted by nonstop doorbell rings. That's when Bischoff broke into the McMahon family home to accost a recuperating Linda (she'd been hit with a Tombstone by Kane previously). Eric then forced himself on her by using lines like: "You are a big-breasted beauty".

Meanwhile, Bisch says that Vince was in the kitchen cooking eggs in between filming. As you do. In character, Eric said that he wasn't there to hurt Linda, but "to please" her. Furious, Shane stole a dude's car outside the building where Raw was being shot and started driving. Erm, about that; Raw was in Grand Rapids, Michigan and the McMahon home was in Stamford, Connecticut.

That’s a 12 hour drive.

Logic went out of the window for scenes like this one. Looking back, it's fairly obvious that both Linda and Eric were nervous and embarrassed about even shooting the segment, but they went through with it. Not only was it over the top and unbelievable, it was also in such bad taste that WWE would show someone forcing themselves on anybody else.
