10 WrestleMania 34 Mistakes WWE Can't Repeat At 35
5. Pointless Title Changes
WrestleMania 34 saw six titles change hands. The Cruiserweight, Intercontinental, United States, SmackDown Tag, Raw Women's and Raw Tag (in that order) all switched wrestler. Of the six, only Seth Rollins', Cedric Alexander's and arguably Nia Jax' wins felt like they had any purpose or direction beyond a pop for the show itself.
Jinder Mahal's US Title snag, The Bludgeon Bros' domination and the Braun Strowman/Nicholas silliness all came across as title changes for the sake of it. There was a clear lack of long-term strategy behind each one, and that left them feeling hollow.
No more of that, please.
WWE seem to believe that pretty much every pay-per-view requires at least one title change to make it interesting. It doesn't, not if the stories pinning down those matches are stimulating enough. Change for change's sake is actually more dull than having a workable game plan after 'Mania.
