10. Brutus Beefcake Ends Mr. Perfect's Undefeated Streak At WrestleMania 6
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4uQa2Fxv4g4 This is something I'll never forget because Mr. Perfect was my favorite wrestler the moment he debuted in WWE. He showed up in 1988, didn't lose a match in all of 1989 and walked into WrestleMania 6 in 1990 against Brutus Beefcake. Of all the people on the WWE roster to lose to that time, they picked Brutus Beefcake? It's so frustrating. The match was only about 7 minutes with Mr. Perfect's lackey The Genius trying to help Perfect get the win. He wasn't to do it because Beefcake won the match after Perfect hit his head on the ring post. It was 1990. Hitting the ring post was enough for a finish. Plus, Perfect was great at selling a simple move like that. When it was over, "The Barber" Brutus Beefcake cut the hair of The Genius to make the fans happy. It shouldn't have been a loss for Perfect, though. His first one should have been against a much bigger name. Whenever people ask me who the best WWE wrestler was that never held their World Title, my answer is always Mr. Perfect first. They had the chance to do it, but never pulled the trigger. This booking was so confusing that it makes me wonder if Hogan had a say in it. Brutus is one of Hulk's best friends and perhaps Hulk didn't like how big of a star Perfect was becoming. No idea if that's true, but it's something to think about at least.
