10 WrestleMania Matches That Surpassed All Expectations
6. Brock Lesnar Vs. Goldberg (WrestleMania 33)
Fans this time last year were skeptical about Brock Lesnar versus Goldberg, with good reason: the one other time these two had fought at WrestleMania - way back in 2004 - they conspired to put on one of the most lacklustre matches in the event's thirty-three year history.
The follow-up bout they shared at Survivor Series 2016, clocking in at just 86 seconds, was a big improvement - at least in terms of drama and reception - but there was still little evidence that they had any real chemistry in the ring (or that Goldberg, at 50, could still 'go' at all).
These fears, however, were laid firmly to rest on the night itself. Not only did the duo succeed in blowing their previous effort out of the water, they even managed to better the show's other world title match between Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt - which, on paper, looked far more promising.
That's pretty good going for a spectacle that lasted fewer than five minutes. For the cynics out there, it was undeniable proof that you don't have to be a master of 10,000 holds to get an arena full of die-hards on its feet.
